Application Process for AFM Theological College
Welcome to the AFM Theological College application process! We’re excited to help you on your journey toward theological education. Please follow the steps below to create your account and submit your application.
Step 1: Check Programme Requirements
Before you begin, please review the admission requirements for your chosen programme at www.afmtc.ac.za. This will help avoid delays in processing your application.
Step 2: Prepare Your Documents
Ensure you have the following documents ready in clear, certified PDF format (certified within the last 3 months):
- Identification Document or Passport
- Highest Educational Qualification (e.g., Grade 10, 12, Diploma, Degree, etc.)
Step 3: Create an Account
Click ‘Register’ and enter your details. After submitting, you will receive a confirmation email.
🔔 Important: If you don’t see the email in your inbox, check your spam or junk folders.
Step 4: Complete Registration and Login
- Follow the link in your email to complete your registration and set a password
- The link will automatically take you to the next step in your application
Step 5: Complete the Online Application
Once logged in:
- Update your Personal Information
- Work through each section of the form
- Click ‘Apply to Study at AFMTC’
- Select your programme, review its requirements, and click ‘Apply’
- Upload your certified documents
- Read and agree to the Terms and Conditions
Step 6: Fees
- There is no application fee
- A once-off enrolment fee of R2000 applies only for full qualifications
- No enrolment fee applies to Short Learning Programmes
This enrolment fee will be automatically included in your first invoice when enrolling for modules.
Step 7: Application Review
Once your application is submitted:
- You will receive email updates as your application is reviewed
- You may return to the AFMTC Admin portal at any time to check your status at https://afm.nexsisportal.com/login
Step 8: Accept Offer and Enrol in Courses
Once your admission is approved:
- Log in to the AFMTC Admin portal at https://afm.nexsisportal.com/login
- Under the ‘Student’ menu, go to ‘Purchase and Enrol in Courses’
- Select and pay for the courses applicable to your study period
⏳ Deadlines:
- Application Deadline: Two weeks before the start of the next academic period
- Course Enrolment Deadline: Two days before the beginning of the study period
Academic Calendar
Three-Month Term Dates (for Occupational Training Courses & Short Learning Programme Modules):
- Term 1: 1 February – 30 April
- Term 2: 1 May – 31 July
- Term 3: 1 August – 31 October
- Term 4: 1 November – 30 January
Semester Dates (for Theological Training Programme Modules):
- Semester 1: 1 February – 30 June
- Semester 2: 1 July – 30 November
