Application Instructions for AFM Theological College [AFMTC]
Step 1: Visit the College Website
Visit the official website of AFMTC to access the online application portal at www.afmtc.ac.za
Step 2: Create an Account
- If you are a new applicant, click on the “Apply” button.
- Fill in the required information to create your account. Ensure that you use a valid email address as this will be used for future communication.
- If you have previously applied or registered at AFMTC for a programme and have forgotten your student account details, please contact [email protected]
Step 3: Select Programme
- Browse through the available programmes and select the one you wish to apply for.
Step 4: Complete Application Form
- Fill out the online application form with accurate and up-to-date information.
- Provide details such as personal information, educational history, and programme-specific requirements.
Step 5: Complete Character Reference Form
- Prospective students must comply with the AFM church’s approval processes. This ensures alignment with the values and standards upheld by the AFM community.
- Complete the character reference form online.
Step 6: Review and Submit
- Review your application carefully to ensure all information is accurate.
- Submit your application.
Step 7: Pay Application Fee
- Proceed to the “Payment” or “Checkout” section to pay the application fee.
- Choose your preferred payment method (credit/debit card, online transfer, etc.).
- Follow the prompts to complete the payment transaction securely.
Step 8: Upload Documents
- Prepare certified copies (dated within the last 3 months) of your identification document (ID) and any other required documents (e.g., School Leaving Certificate, Highest Educational Qualification).
- Please view the programme page for General and Programme Specific Admission requirements.
- Click on the “Upload Documents” section within the application form.
- File specifications:
– Files cannot be larger than 2MB each.
– Maximum number of files allowed: 5
– Acceptable types: pdf, tif, doc, docx. - Follow the instructions to upload the necessary documents securely.
Step 9: Confirmation
- Upon successful submission, you will receive an email confirmation acknowledging receipt of your application.
Step 10: Application Status
- The authenticity of your uploaded documents will be confirmed, and your application will be considered. You will, once this is done, receive feedback.
Important Notes:
- Ensure that all uploaded documents are clear and legible.
- Ensure that all uploaded documents are certified and dated within the last 3 months.
- The application fee is non-refundable.

- If you’d like to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning, request a RPL form from [email protected].
Deadline:
- Be mindful of application deadlines. Late applications may not be considered.
